ਸਭਿ ਆਏ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਖਸਮਾਹੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਭ ਵਰਤਨੀ ॥ सभि आए हुकमि खसमाहु हुकमि सभ वरतनी ॥ All come by the Master’s command and his order extends over all. ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਸ ਕੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਾਜ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ जिस कै अंतरि राज अभिमानु ॥ He is whose mind is the pride of kingship, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਨਰਕਪਾਤੀ ਹੋਵਤ ਸੁਆਨੁ ॥ सो नरकपाती होवत सुआनु ॥ becomes a hell-dweller and a dog. ਉਹ ਦੌਜ਼ਕ-ਵਾਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੱਤਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਤਊ ਲਉ ਬਜਿਓ ਮੂਰਤ ਘਰੀ ਪਲੋ ॥ जउ दिनु रैनि तऊ लउ बजिओ मूरत घरी पलो ॥ As long as the days and the nights of one’s life last, the clock strikes the hours, minutes and seconds. ਜਉ ਦਿਨੁ = ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਤਕ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤਕ। ਰੈਨਿ = (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ) ਰਾਤ। ਤਊ ਲਉ = ਉਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਹੀ। ਮੂਰਤ …
